JD Terra

JD Terra (they/he) is a Kansas-raised, Portland-based voice teacher and choir conductor. He came to Portland to pursue a music degree in composition at Lewis & Clark College, but was attracted to voice and conducting studies in addition. Now, they teach voice at School of Rock in Vancouver and online private lessons in addition to PHAME. JD's been known to perform original music under the name SYNOME, but is quite elusive at the moment. Under their own name, JD regularly performs with Radix Vocal Ensemble and recently debuted an independent rock opera called Wager All, based on The Decemberists' album, The Hazards of Love, in 2024.
