Amaya Alvarado

Teaching Artist

Amaya (she/her) is a multidisciplinary contemporary circus artist and dancer with a passion for art and human connection through movement. Amaya has traveled around the world studying, performing and teaching yoga, acrobatics, dance, and circus arts. She is a graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts and Co-creator of the Contemporary Circus, Dance, Theatre show “Tinder and Ash.” She studied 500hrs of Yoga with Three Sisters Yoga in NYC. Amaya has taught people of all ages and backgrounds from Mexico to Thailand, Alaska to Montreal. She currently teaches Yoga at PHAME and also coaches and choreographs for AWOL's professional training program, and at Night Flight, KCLC, and The Circus Project in Portland, Oregon.
