Stephanie (she/her) is a musician and writer based out of Portland, Oregon. She leads Strange & the Familiars and is writing an ongoing comic book series (under her superhero nom de plume, Stephanie Strange) with illustrator Jay Reynolds. She can be found around Portland sharing music and poetry, teaching private vocal lessons, and working with agencies that serve adults with I/DD to develop arts and crafts programs and assist with activities of daily living. Stephanie has performed at SXSW, Folkfest, and was RAW Artist of the Year, has worked as a DJ and content developer for Portland Radio Project and House of Sound, and has written for Eleven Music Magazine. Featured for her work with Strange & the Familiars in publications like Vortex Music Magazine, Eleven Magazine, The Mercury, The Willamette Weekly, Oregon Music News and more, Stephanie is passionate about how creativity and imagination can be used to heal from trauma, overcome obstacles, and realize goals. She believes that taking oneself too seriously is a yuge mistake and that every party should be a costume party.
