Jenny (she/her) has worked in executive leadership and consulting in the arts and education for the last 20 years. She joined PHAME as the Executive Director in September of 2017, where she works to build equitable arts opportunities for people with disabilities in the Portland Metro Region and beyond. Jenny received her Ph.D. in Human Development from Boston University in 2001. After working in education research for several years, Jenny became the California State Executive Director for Citizen Schools, a national social entrepreneurial after-school program for low-income middle school children. Jenny currently sings with and serves on the board of the Choral Arts Ensemble of Portland. Jenny has a husband and two grown children, lives with chronic illness, compulsively knits, and frequently wishes one of her dogs was a cat.
